The Sacha Inchi in the Peruvian Amazon plant known by natives for many thousands of years belongs to the family of oilseeds. It is located wild in the regions of San Martin, Ucayali, Amazonas, Madre de Dios and Loreto.
The Sacha Inchi is a source of beta carotene (vitamin A) and vitamin E both with antioxidant capabilities. Sacha Inchi seeds have a high protein content (33%) and oil (49%).
